President: Carolle Roy PhD

Carolle works as an instructional designer at the Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface (CUSB), Carolle Roy was in charge of the CUSB's Internet Communications Services from 1998 to 2007. Her duties included the coordination and standardization of the activities and pages of the official CUSB website, as well as the development and implementation of Internet courses.
 
Carolle Roy holds a Master's degree in Sociology, a postgraduate diploma in Development of Multimedia Distance Education Training a postgraduate program in Information Technologies and Learning Environments at Téluq.

Vice President: Jill Campbell

Jill Campbell is an instructional designer and elearning specialist with the Teaching Learning and Technology Centre at Assiniboine College. In the past Jill has served on the Madlat board as conference co-chair, and chaired the keynote search committee.

Jill is a lifelong learner who completed a Masters in Distance Education and an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Distance Education Technology entirely online.  Her personal experience  learning at a distance, along with her work as an instructional designer, has made her passionate about developing engaging courses that address the needs of all learners.  Jill has a strong desire to ensure access to learning and to improve its quality for everyone.

Treasurer: Andy McKiel

Andy is currently serving in his second year as the Treasurer of MADLaT.  Andy is employed by the St. James-Assiniboia School Division, where he works as a K-12 Curriculum Coordinator.  Andy also serves on many Boards and committees across the province of Manitoba, including ManACE (Manitoba Association for Computing Educators), CECM (Computer Education Coordinators of Manitoba), the MERLIN Advisory Board, the Literacy with ICT Advisory Committee and the BYTE Conference Planning Committee.  

Andy is an avid user of technology.  Through his work with educators throughout the province, he advocates the use of the many tools afforded by emerging technologies, including blogs, wikis and podcasts.  In his pursuit to provide 'just-in-time' professional learning opportunities for learners of all ages and stages, he's been exploring the ways in which these tools can be used more effectively to improve the teaching and learning at all levels.

Director-at-Large: Iwona Gniadek

Iwona has been the Lead of Learner Services for English Online Inc. since May 2009 and is working on developing, implementing and supporting an online learner support system for self-directed learners. It is a huge undertaking but she enjoys feeling a part of a new, exciting and different initiative to support adult EAL learners in Manitoba.

Before coming to English Online she taught EAL for the Portage Learning and Literacy Centre in Portage La Prairie. She also has international teaching experience in Poland and the United Kingdom (UK). In the UK, she gained experience in facilitating Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) in a blended model of delivery and support (i.e. face-2-face and online).

She holds an M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language from the University of Warsaw and is currently involved in instructional design projects in the EAL field.

Director-at-Large: Peter Lindsay

Peter has extensive experience in interactive multimedia, design and photography. He has been involved in post-secondary education in both the private and public sectors for over 30 years and is currently an Instructional Designer in the Teaching, Learning & Technology Centre at ACC.

Peter was Chair of New Media at The International Academy of Design and Technology in Toronto, and Kodak Chair of Photography at Ryerson University. He holds a BFA, as well as diplomas in graphic design, multimedia production, and small and micro business development.
