Session 6

Mapping the Larger Picture: The Benefits of an Electronic Curriculum Mapping Tool

Session Description:

Administrators, educational developers, and faculty preparing for a successful accreditation process for their higher education unit will benefit from this session focusing on an efficient electronic mapping of their curriculum. Participants will view a web-based curriculum mapping tool that is successfully being used in the School of Dental Hygiene and the Faculty of Dentistry. The tool shows where program competencies are addressed and how they evaluated within the curriculum. This outcome evaluation method will address redundancies and deficiencies for curriculum review, strategic planning, and preparation for accreditation.

Presenters: Dieter Schönwetter, Peter Tittenberger, Randy Mazurat, and David Singer
