Session 4
Ins & Outs of
Delivering an On-line M. Ed.
Session Description:
In January 2007, the Collège
universitaire de Saint-Boniface (CUSB) launched the first of
nine courses which allow students to complete an M. Ed. program
in educational administration entirely on-line. The Faculty of
Education at CUSB had underestimated the demand for this program
and registrations have exceeded expectations. Learn how this
program came into existence and see how CUSB tackled the
challenges of implementing a graduate on-line program within a
tight timeframe. For example, three graduate-level courses were
developed within a twelve-month period. An initial discussion on
the funding and promotion of the program will lead into a
presentation on the technical aspects of production. Learn why
CUSB chose MISA as its learning systems engineering method, how
it was adapted to its infrastructure and how collaborations were
established between the various student services to ensure a
seamless delivery.
Presenters: Johanne Boily, Carolle Roy
