Workshop 14
A Thinker's Guide
to the Conference: Reflecting on Technology
Workshop Description:
So easy to get caught up in the
race of innovation; so easy to feel swamped by claims for new
technology efficiencies. Not so easy to step back and
interrogate what’s going on: to analyse and synthesise the scene
using some thinking tools. Liz’s session helps you step back,
take a breath, raise some issues that about technology use that
you want to discuss, and then apply some practical thinking
tools from established practitioners as well as well known
academic researchers. You should leave the workshop knowing how
to assess the opposing dynamics at work in any setting of
technology adoption. Some handouts too!
Presenter: Dr. Liz
Burge, Professor, Adult Education, University of New Brunswick
