Session 17

Title: Structured Content Authoring with DITA

Session Description:

The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) is an end-to-end architecture for authoring, producing, and delivering information.

DITA can be used to:

  • reuse content for a variety of deliverables, including performance support help systems and learning modules for training
  • improve information authoring processes
  • enable effective information management

Learn what DITA is capable of doing for your information and discover how to move to structured authoring.

Presenter: Cory Langner, Manitoba Public Insurance

Cory Langner is an Architect at Manitoba Public Insurance specializing in Content and Collaboration. A firm believer that content really is king, he moved from content management implementer to content analyst and developed an affinity for information architecture. He is currently working on a project to combine DITA with a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server environment.

Outside of the office, Cory has an interest in horticulture, spending his springs in the greenhouse and his summers in the garden.
