Title: Video Streaming Primary Care Paramedic Training to 3 remote Locations in Manitoba

Session Description:

Paramedicine - Primary Care Paramedic will prepare students with the academic and clinical experience to develop the required skills to work in the exciting and challenging field of emergency medical services.
The academic component will be delivered in class in Winnipeg and by eTV delivery to three remote locations throughout Manitoba. All students will be required to attend practical skills labs at Red River College, Notre Dame Campus in Winnipeg. ‘On car’ practical experience will be conducted in rural/northern Manitoba as well as in Winnipeg.

Dwayne ForsmanIn January 2008, I accepted the position of Coordinator at Red River College to coordinate a new program at Red River College called Paramedicine – Primary Care Paramedic. Prior to coming to RRC, I spent a couple years with the South Eastman Regional Health Authority (SERHA) as the Training Manager for Emergency Medical Services. Before SERHA, I was a field Paramedic with the City of Winnipeg for 30 years.
