Session 26

Title: Cell Phones for Learning – to dial or not to dial?

Session Description:

Would you like your students to all have a learning tool in their pocket, one that can provide access to information, and the ability to publish and communicate? They may already have one! Appropriate use of technology includes appropriate use of cell phones. Who is guiding student use of ICT, including cell phones? Cell phones are web browsers, communication centres and planners. Powerful tools can lead to powerful learning. Where can this technology take us and our students?

As a cell phone novice, Rob is interested in sharing his discoveries with conference participants regarding suggestions of appropriate cell phone use in our classrooms, in a Literacy with ICT across the curriculum context.

Presenter: Rob Fisher
