Session Description:

Copyright issues loom large over teachers and students in the 21st century. It has never been easier to access and reproduce digital media. How do current copyright laws in Canada affect teachers and students? Come join a discussion of copyright law in Canada and view some solutions that provide digital materials that both teacher and students may legally use.

Presenter: John Finch

John Finch is an early year/middle year teacher with 12 years of classroom experience. In addition, John was the Technology Coordinator of a rural school division for 6 years. Currently, John is a consultant with Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth and is project leader of the Literacy with ICT Across the Curriculum initiative. (No picture available)
