Workshop 11
Title: Organizational
Learning Agility — How to Thrive in a Changing World
Workshop
Description:
Today, organizations find
themselves in a threatening climate of unrelenting change. To
ultimately survive, organizations must be prepared to
continuously undergo new knowledge cycles to prepare for new
competitive cycles — constantly re-tooling in order to maintain
competitiveness. This state of competitive agility can only be
achieved with change-savvy leaders who intentionally cultivate a
culture of continuous learning. In addition, organizations must
establish a fully-loaded performance support infrastructure that
facilitates rapid collaborative learning. Only then can any
organization approach the capacity it needs to grow, change, or
innovate, at or above the speed of its own market. “Learning
Agility” is the capacity to respond to opportunities, threats,
or crisis through unencumbered real-time acquisition and
application of knowledge and skills.
Participants in this session will discuss how learning leaders
can move forward in helping their organizations achieve greater
learning agility. You’ll discuss the eight recommendations from
an indepth research report “In Search of Learning Aility”
sponsored by The eLearning Guild, ASTD, and CLO Magazine.
In this session, you will learn:
- How to transform learning
into a strategic asset
- The five factors for
achieving organizational learning agility
- Where to turn to learn how
to lead in a state of continual change
- How Learning Technologies
need to be orchestrated to facilitate learning agility
