Title: CAPSI: Blending
Multiple Approaches to Learning with One Tool

Description:
As a single learning management
tool, CAPSI (Computer Aided Personalized System of Instruction)
incorporates different learning approaches in order to assist
students develop course knowledge and critical thinking skills.
CAPSI can be used as a stand-alone learning tool, or in
combination with other learning management systems. It can also
be used in a completely on-line course format or in any
combination of a Blended Design, allowing for flexibility within
any learning environment.
This workshop will be an
introduction to the capabilities of CAPSI, and how it can be
used within the participant’s education or workplace situations.
Presenter: Louis Svenningsen
Louis
Svenningsen is an Instructional Technologist at the
University of Winnipeg providing consultation and support to
faculty in the effective use of new and current technologies for
academic purposes. He is also an instructor at the University of
Manitoba, Athabasca University, and Red River College.
