Session 27
Title: Modified Simulation
of an Unfolding Case Scenario
Session
Description:
The presentation will describe a modified simulation of an
unfolding case scenario in which the learner is guided through a
‘real world’ situation. The development of this learning
strategy is supported by a review of nursing simulation
literature between 2000-2007. As clinical placements for
students become increasingly limited, simulation of real world
clinical scenarios foster student comfort within a learning
paradigm as opposed to a teaching paradigm.
