10th Annual International MADLaT Conference
May 5th and 6th, 2011
The upcoming conference will
be held at
Collège
universitaire de Saint - Boniface
200, avenue de la Cathédrale
Winnipeg (Manitoba) R2H 0H7
MADLaT's
10th annual 2-day conference is oriented to teachers, trainers,
and practitioners interested and involved in using educational
technology.
MADLaT is an organization run
entirely by volunteers. Through the conference, the listserv and
networking opportunities, we form a community of learners -
supporting learning opportunities for our members. When you
attend MADLaT, you become a member of the community. We are
extremely proud of the excellent work being done both locally
and elsewhere and use the conference workshops and sessions to
both showcase the knowledge and expertise and challenge
ourselves with new ideas and research. The Friday morning
breakfast and Thursday evening “Conference Opener” provide lots
of opportunities to network with colleagues.
MADLaT recognizes and appreciates the support of various
provincial government departments and agencies and the public
post-secondary institutions in Manitoba. Their support allows us
to keep registration fees reasonable while providing you with
access to expertise from around the province and the world!
There are many great
prizes to be won at the 10th Annual MADLaT Conference!

William Horton: What the e-learning revolution should have
taught us.
The e-learning revolution has been in full swing for over 15
years. Along the way advocates of e-learning have promised the
utopia of inexpensive, quickly developed, and consistently
high-quality education. Looking back, has the promise been
fulfilled? Probably not. So, what can we do to harness the
potential of e-learning while avoiding the siren call of
competent mediocrity?
