Session 25

Title: Creating and Managing Your Digital Footprint

Session Description:

Your professional presence online can be a huge personal asset or liability. Learn why you need one and how to manage it properly. This session will look at healthy attitudes toward social media, and how to use popular sites like Twitter, Facebook and Blogger to enhance your credibility and build a following.

Presenter: Raman Job

Raman Job is a public relations professional with over 20 years experience in labour and corporate communications. He is the public relations facilitator for The Manitoba Teachers’ Society and is responsible for media and community relations.

Job is a firm believer that social networks can be harnessed to improve communications between teacher organizations and their members — and serve as powerful tools for educators’ professional development.

He has worked for Smith-Radimer Communications, Investors Group, Great-West Life and Standard Aero, and has published articles on a wide range of topics from lifestyles to politics. He speaks fluent Spanish and lives in Winnipeg with his wife and two sons. He describes his boys as half-German, half-Chilean and all Canadian.
