This session will look at healthy attitudes toward social media,
and how to use popular sites like Twitter, Facebook and Blogger
to enhance your credibility and build a following.
Presenter: Raman Job
Raman Job is a public relations
professional with over 20 years experience in labour and
corporate communications. He is the public relations facilitator
for The Manitoba Teachers’ Society and is responsible for media
and community relations.
Job is a firm believer that social networks can be harnessed to
improve communications between teacher organizations and their
members — and serve as powerful tools for educators’
professional development.
He has worked for Smith-Radimer Communications, Investors Group,
Great-West Life and Standard Aero, and has published articles on
a wide range of topics from lifestyles to politics. He speaks
fluent Spanish and lives in Winnipeg with his wife and two sons.
He describes his boys as half-German, half-Chilean and all
Canadian.
