The Public Relations Committee will
promote and create an awareness of the Association, its
goals, objectives, and philosophy. The committee will
also solicit government and agency support for distributed
and distance learning and training, and promote greater
public awareness and understanding of distributed and
distance learning through the use of appropriate media.
This committee is responsible for membership recruitment.
The Public Relations Standing Committee has two major roles: Firstly to promote, within Manitoba, and throughout Canada and the northern United States, distributed learning and training in general and the Association in particular and secondly to disseminate information to members regarding Association activities.
The Committee is responsible for:
- Organizing and implementing marketing for the annual MADLaT conference

Managing and maintaining the association’s web site

Developing and distributing promotional material to raise awareness of MADLaT

Preparation of posters for events

Writing press releases

Preparing promotional material - e.g. pens, banners, etc.
To further strengthen communication, members are encouraged to give their comments to the Committee through the website contact information, and/or during the conference.
