Norman Vaughan, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Education at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He has co-authored the books Teaching in Blended Learning Environments: Creating and Sustaining Communities of Inquiry (2013) and Blended Learning in Higher Education (2008) and he has published a series of articles on blended learning and faculty development. Dr. Vaughan is the Co-founder of the Blended Online Design Network(BOLD), a member of the Community of Inquiry Research Group, the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Mobile and Blended Learning and he is on the Editorial Boards of numerous national and international journals.
Jody Baty is a Solutions Architect at Roamable Inc., an app development company that specializes in mobile apps for learning. Prior to joining Roamable, Jody served as Associate Director for the Center of Instructional Technology and Development at SAIT Polytechnic where he oversaw a team of 48 e-Learning Professionals.
Dr. Katherine Breward teaches inclusion related courses including "Leadership and Fairness in Complex Organizations", and "Culture and the Environment". Her research identifies best practices for maximizing labour force participation among people who have historically been disadvantaged in the labour market; it has appeared in the Canadian Journal of Disability Studies, the British Journal of Management, Equality Diversity and Inclusion: An International Journal, and the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health.
Eva Brown is a teacher educator at RRC. Her focus is seeking opportunities for her students that will impact education. Eva is a doctoraI candidate at the University of Calgary. Her research interests include designing learning for technology-rich collaborative learning environments and the development of research skills in new teachers
Theresa Armstrong is a pre-service teacher in the RRC/U of W joint B.Ed. program. Prior to entering education, Theresa earned her accounting designation and worked for over fifteen years in private and non-profit organizations. Theresa’s passion for teaching comes from a desire for her students to succeed in 21st century competencies.
Kristen Cameron is a mother, mindfulness practitioner, and post-secondary educator who currently works as a curriculum consultant at Red River College. Kristen has over a decade of experience teaching adult learners, both as a teacher and trainer of teachers, and wonders what might be achieved if mindfulness training were to be included in post-secondary teacher training and applied in post-secondary learning contexts. Kristen holds a M.Ed. from the University of Ottawa, and hopes to begin doctoral studies this fall in the field of peace and conflict studies.

Zoe has 10 years combined experience in tutoring, teaching, adult education, facilitation, instructional design and learning technologies. At TLG, Zoe is responsible for instructional design training materials as well as for course development using authoring tools.
Mark Torchia is the Director of the Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (The Centre) at the University of Manitoba as well as an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine. Mark has been an active participant in health profession education for over 30 years.
Tamara Chelle is a management professional with over 29 years experience developing and supporting technology across a variety, of industries including higher education, internet marketing, agriculture, transportation and financial investment. Tamara has been working as the Project Manager/Business Analyst to define and implement Manitoba’s Flexible Learning HUB.
Michael Krywy is a Senior Research and Planning Analyst at Red River College. He is involved in many facets of research and evaluation at the College, including survey design, data analysis, project management, reporting, and qualitative research. Michael is currently President of Canadian Institutional Research and Planning Association (CIRPA).
Matt Miles, BA, M.Ed., is the Digital Learning Supervisor at Red River College’s Teaching Learning Technology Centre. He supervises the TLTC’s Educational Technology team which supports after the RRC’s LMS and other educational technology platforms. He focuses on student success through the applied use of modern pedagogy and learning technologies.
Lauren Phillips is the Manager of the Academic Success Centre at Red River College where she helps create academic assessments and support programs. Before working at RRC, Lauren coordinated provincial ESL programming, was an associate producer at CBC Manitoba and taught EFL and business communications in beautiful Chigasaki, Japan.
Dale Swirsky is a teacher with Red River College's Academic Success Center. He specializes in customized assessment and instruction in numeracy, reading, writing, and document use. Prior to working at RRC, Dale created assessments and instructional programs for various Winnipeg manufacturers and social enterprise NGOs.
Chris Bryan, CAE, works in Red River College’s Teaching Learning Technology Centre as the Trainer for Learning Technologies. He delivers training, support, as well as expert advice on all aspects of RRC’s Learning Management System and supported learning technologies. On his 10th year at RRC Chris continues to explore and develop skills in training and educational technology.
Don Presant is President of Learning Agents, host of CanCred.ca, a Canadian cloud service for alternative credentials based on Open Badges. Cancred.ca is currently working with the eCampus Ontario network. In 2016, Don co- authored and co-launched the Bologna Open Recognition Declaration, calling for a universal open architecture for the recognition of learning.
