Digital Media Capture for Electronic Portfolios

Workshop Description:

The electronic portfolio is the next generation tool for PLAR, offering many advantages over paper-based portfolios. But first you have to digitize your portfolio archive!

Learn tips and tricks of media capture and processing in this practical session with some hands-on examples, using familiar low cost tools. If you have pictures and graphics of your own, contact Don ahead of time to see if you can digitize them as part of this session.

Don Presant is President of Learning Agents, an independent producer of multimedia learning solutions for career development and workplace learning.


In 2003 he built the partnership-based Career Destination: MANITOBA (careerdestination.mb.ca), an online multimedia gallery of local career success stories. This initiative is now being adapted to the needs of skilled immigrants, Aboriginals and Francophone youth in other projects.
