The Manitoba Association for Distributed Learning and Training (MADLaT) is planning its 8th annual international distributed/distance learning conference. The conference will be held at the Princess Street Campus of Red River College, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada May 7th & 8th, 2009.

The MADLaT conference is for anyone from public education (K-12, colleges, and universities), government, corporations and associations interested and involved in using educational technology in teaching and learning. The conference will have a number of streams, including:

  • Participative Web
  • Teaching and Learning in a Changing World
  • Research
  • Educational Resources
  • Organizational Planning for e-Learning
  • Workplace Learning

On Thursday, May 7th the conference begins with pre-conference workshops during the day and an evening “Conference Opener” session to allow networking with colleagues from across the province. Friday, May 8th will begin with a continental breakfast and the Keynote speaker. During the day, there will be concurrent sessions both a.m. and p.m. with a mix of local and out-of-province presenters.

The MADLaT 2009 conference will address the blend of information and communication technology with the wisdom of educators and trainers in learning environments. Our audience, a diverse community of practitioners, reflects this coming together--teachers, professors, instructors, trainers, instructional designers and those involved in student support, planning and administrative issues, all sharing their knowledge and experience.
